Meet Our Founder
Krista Crawford, PA-C
Founder of Anavah Functional Medicine
Hi, I’m Krista Crawford, Physician Associate and founder of Anavah Functional Medicine. With nearly 20 years of medical experience, I’ve witnessed how much more is possible when we move beyond symptom management and uncover the deeper causes of illness.
The word Anavah means humility, and it reflects the heart of my practice: to serve with compassion, listen deeply, and walk alongside my patients on their journey to lasting healing.

My Story
Like many of my patients, I’ve personally experienced the frustration of fatigue, stubborn weight gain, gut issues, and hormonal shifts—only to be told “that’s just part of aging.” I knew there had to be a better way.
Through my own search for answers, I discovered the power of functional medicine. By looking deeper—into the gut, hormones, cellular health, and inflammation—I learned that true restoration is possible. Now, I bring that same approach to every patient I serve.

My Approach
My care is science-based, personalized, and whole-person focused. I use advanced diagnostic testing, root cause analysis, and lifestyle interventions to design individualized plans for healing.
In addition to personalized care plans, I am dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel valued, understood, and encouraged. Through educational workshops and real success stories from patients, I aim to build a community of trust and support for individuals seeking to improve their health and well-being.
I also believe that true health isn’t only physical. Your faith, stress levels, emotional well-being, and daily lifestyle rhythms are just as important as lab results. That’s why I take time to listen to your story, understand your goals, and weave together a plan that supports not only your body, but your mind and spirit as well.
You don’t have to settle for feeling “off” or unheard. Healing is possible. Together, we’ll create a clear and sustainable path toward restored energy, balance, and joy.
Community
&
Education
At Anavah Functional Medicine, I believe healing doesn’t happen in isolation—it grows in community. In addition to one-on-one care, I am dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel valued, understood, and encouraged.
I regularly offer educational workshops, patient support groups, and community events designed to equip individuals with practical tools for gut health, detoxification, autoimmune support, hormone balance, and overall well-being.
Beyond the clinic, I also provide lectures and professional training for healthcare teams, churches, and community organizations—helping to spread functional medicine education and empower others with the knowledge needed to take ownership of their health.
Through these efforts, my goal is to build a community of trust, education, and support—a place where individuals can learn, heal, and thrive together.

Professional Affiliations
&
Teaching Roles
I’m honored to serve not only patients through Anavah Functional Medicine, but also the broader healthcare community as an Adjunct Faculty Member and Lecturer with Gut Health Education. In addition to my faculty role, I provide education to community groups, healthcare providers, and other organizations, as well as share insights through podcasts and public speaking. Through these efforts, I aim to expand awareness of functional medicine principles, root cause care, and whole-person healing.
